This 27" tall final product is drastically different from the original thoughts and design we had in mind. But the more we worked with it, the more changes we thought to impliment. It was a long road because each dimension of each part was decided as the part was made. So there was a considerable effort extended to design decisions. Nanette was present most of the time helping with these decisions.

| When we finished, we both admired the birdhouse and were both pleased with it. About then, Nanette told me she wanted one exactly like this one . . . | ||
| So with Christmas pressing closser, the garage remained a shop for a couple more days until I could get the second birdhouse built. (After all, having a prototype at this point is a huge advantage.) | ||
| And other than the characteristics of the fence boards from which these were made, they came awfully close to being twins! | ||

...and then there were three! This is the third birdhouse of similar design. It was presented to Harry (Nanette's brother) and Carol (his wife) on Christmas Day, 2003. It is shown here in it's home in Harry and Carol's garden in Roseville, California. |
